Following Monica's pioneering venture to Red Mountain Ski Academy, and resultant successes which are echoed by the positive experience the academy itself feels has come from this, they would like to offer the opportunity for other British skiers to apply for the coming academic year/season or possibly in future years.
A true ski academy has offered Monica the chance to train and race full time whilst continuing her studies in an academic program tailored to fit in with the athletic program. In Monica's case she has had the opportunity of a full range of courses (at A level standard) just as you would expect at the best of UK based schools and her education has easily kept pace alongside her athletic program, where she also saw sustained improvement in her results. More importantly, the school results she has achieved have gained her a place on the course of her choice at university in Oxford. She also had offers from all 4 of the other universities she applied to so there is no question that her education lost out to her desire to keep her training going.
